WORDS can be misleading. They can jump us to conclusions that may be completely off the grid. I knew that, I teach that in my practice but had I lived that for myself? If you are curious, write down 3 words that describe your personal aspirations. Visualize the attitude, the feeling, the space. Stay open to redefining the visual language. I began the week believing that AUDACITY meant impertinence. This week I learned that audacity also means the guts to spread your wings - try something very different than you’ve ever done before. True North for me is defining the design language of human experience. What do our goals and aspirations look, sound and feel like? Chose that definition for yourself - create it. I choose to be audaciously evolving. I thank the person who nudged me into asking a deeper question this week.

“I've got a brand new pair of roller skates
You've got a brand new key
I think that we should get together and
Try them on to see
I been lookin' around awhile
You got something for me…”For Diana, Lynn and Pat….thank you.
Point of View
“Color is my day-long obsession, joy and torment.”
-Claude Monet
POINT OF VIEW. Every designer has one. For me, it comes from a place of inspiration and resonance with the world around us. What do we find beautiful, comfortable and engaging? Magic can come from the simplest ideas, executed well and brought to life by the intention behind them.
ADD JOY…
JOY has the power to heal. It is found in simple forms and pops of saturated color. It evokes a lightness of being, unexpected when it appears. JOY serves to delight us, transforming the moment with a sense of wonder.
“The beehive teaches us that we are born into the world rational and intelligent beings, so ought we also to be industrious ones, and not stand idly by or gaze with listless indifference on even the meanest of our fellow creatures in a state of distress if it is in our power to help them without detriment to ourselves or our connections; the constant practice - or this virtue is enjoined on all created beings, from the highest seraph in heaven to the meanest reptile that crawls in the dust.“
